What is the Financial Ombudsman Service?

The Financial Ombudsman Service was set up by Parliament to resolve complaints between financial businesses and their customers.

The FOS can help with most financial services, including banking, insurance, PPI, loans, mortgages, pensions and investments.

Insurance Claim Disputes

If a customer has a problem with their insurance company and can’t resolve the complaint themselves, the FOS can provide an unbiased view of the dispute. If they decide that someone has been treated unfairly, they have legal powers to resolve the insurance claim dispute.
